Hi Team,
Welcome to your Internship with Red Sky Research.
Sumanth and I want to thank you for your interest in working with Red Sky and we are eager to get started working with you. Personally, I’ve enjoyed chatting with each of you during our one-on-one Zoom calls and believe we have assembled a very talented team.
Before I continue, I want to introduce you to Sumanth Molakala, my business partner and co-founder of Red Sky Research. Sumanth and I have been working together in a variety of software industries since you guys were about 2 years old.
Although you haven’t yet spoken directly with Sumanth, he knows about each of you and is ready to bring you a wealth of information, insight and guidance on the topics of cryptocurrency, blockchain, software and many other topics. In fact, it is because of Sumanth’s insistence over the past few years that I ‘take the crypto space more seriously’ that I am now so interested and invested in it. You will get to know Sumanth once we approach the formal beginning of the Internship.
Remember, the 9 of you will be forming two teams with complementary roles:
– Marketing Research and Analysis
– Software Research, Design and Development
Based on our Zoom calls and emails, we have a general idea of who is on which team, but this is not written in stone. Our teams are neither mutually exclusive nor separate and your role can change if your interests change. We can always adjust the plan.
Also, we will work collaboratively, so whatever we learn will be shared with everyone. This keeps everyone in the loop on what others are doing and ensures both teams grow together. This is the basis for a business to build intellectual capital and, therefore, value for our customers.
This week, we have a short assignment which I’ve previously discussed with you but will describe again now. It should be fun and should take no more than 4 – 6 hours. If you cannot do it this week, no problem, get as far as you can but please do complete it as soon as you can. The purpose of this assignment is:
– to give you a taste of the research you will be asked to do during the Senior Experience as Research is the starting point in all business projects
– figure out your interests to guide your Internship
Here are the steps for your first Research Executive Summary:
1) Research the listed topics for 3 – 5 hours via Google searches, videos, articles, blogs, Cardano Forum
– Bitcoin
– Blockchain
– Cardano Network
– Anything in the Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and Cardano Network context that sparks your interest
2) Write a 4 paragraph Executive Summary on your findings:
– 1: What you researched
– 2: What you discovered, learned
– 3: Conclusions about your discoveries
– 4: Areas of Interest to you which could indicate what you might want to pursue during the Internship
Please use a heading for each paragraph.
Paragraphs should be 4 – 6 sentences
Put into an editable Document: Word or Pages or Google Docs file, whatever (not PDF or a non-editable format)
3) Send your Executive Summary to me and Sumanth
After we receive your Executive Summary we will schedule one final one-on-one zoom call with you to discuss your ideas and identify your interests. As interest drives motivation, we will identify your Core Areas of Interest.
After we have met with everyone, we will incorporate all Core Areas of Interest into a coordinated Team Plan. The Team Plan will also incorporate Red Sky’s Core Areas of Research and Expertise and Business Goals. This will give the Team Plan a strong Business Context. Within the Team Plan, we will assign Individual Roles on Collaborative Projects which align with and advance the Team Plan.
It’s not so complicated as I’ve made it sound 🙂 but I wanted to give you insight into our thinking process.
One last note on the Plans: You will not work alone at any time. You will always be part of a team and work collaboratively the entire Internship. Even while you may be working physically separated from the others, you will always be part of and responsible to a larger, supportive team.
So, it is important that you prepare to proactively communicate during your Internship with your teammates frequently via Zoom, Google, Facetime, text, etc. Don’t hesitate to ask for help or offer it.

Install the TESTNET version of Daedalus (Cardano’s soft wallet) and
Send us a ‘Receive Address’
Then we will
– Send you a bag of Redcoins

What’s a Redcoin worth today?
– On one hand, in traditional monetary value, a Redcoin holds no intrinsic value (today).
– On the other hand, a Redcoin holds massive value as an expression of the knowledge that we can become experts in these areas of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain if we support each other, put our heads together and collaborate – and as a tribute of celebration to honor you, Red Sky Research’s first Team of Interns 🙂
